In pursuit of materializing the quality citrus seedlings and reviving the citrus industries in Bhutan, the Bhutan Seedlings Nursery Farm of Punakha is busy constructing the structure as prescribed in the national protocol for private citrus nurseries operators framed by the horticulture experts and scientists of the Department of Agriculture(DoA), Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MoAL) under Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB).

Apart from realizing our decade-long awaiting dreams of establishing a similar project, we are passionate and interested in delivering pest and disease-free citrus seedlings. Thus, helping our DoA, MoAL, under RGoB in curving the issues of insufficiency of in-country production and supply of citrus seedlings in the near future.

The Bhutan Seedlings team aimed to complete this ongoing project by the end of April 2024.
